We collect and manage your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) privacy Act and other privacy laws. In this Privacy Policy, “Stanwycks”, “we”, “us” and “our” refers to Stanwycks Pty Ltd (ABN 24 345 684 934) and any entity operating in Australia that is owned or controlled by Stanwycks Pty Ltd.

Personal Information We Collect

Stanwycks will, whenever possible, collect your personal information from you directly. Where we are unable to obtain personal information directly from you, we may request your consent, either written or verbal as appropriate, to obtain personal information from a third party. The types of personal information we collect from you will depend on the nature of our engagement with you. Our ability to provide quality services is dependent on us obtaining certain personal information, including, but not limited to:

As part of a client engagement, if you are a customer, an employee, a contractor or supplier of services to one of our clients, then we may collect, use and disclose your personal information as part of providing services to that client.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We are committed to safeguarding your privacy. We will not disclose your personal information, unless:

  • the use or disclosure is permitted by this policy;
  • we believe it is necessary to provide you with a product or service which you have requested (or, in case of a partner, employee or contractor of Stanwycks, it is necessary for maintaining or related to your role at Stanwycks);
  • you give your consent;
  • some or all, of the assets or operations of Stanwycks are or may be transferred to another party as part of the sale of some or all of Stanwycks business; and
  • such disclosure is otherwise required or permitted by law, regulations, rules or professional standards.

Stanwycks uses a range of service providers to help us maximise the quality and efficiency of our services and our business operations (including internal business requirements, such as recruitment and human capital requirements). We may provide your information to trusted third party service providers, who, assist us with recruiting, auditing, accounting, bookkeeping, legal issues, business consulting, banking, payment, debt collection, data processing, data analysis, audit insurance, financial services, website, IT support, software and technology services.

We use Cloud Based Software in connection with the provision of some services, so it is possible that your information may be viewed by our service providers here and overseas. This includes but is not limited to our overseas contractors and service providers such as Xero, MYOB, and Backoffis Pty Ltd.

When you provide personal information to us, you consent to the disclosure of your information outside Australia and acknowledge that we are not required to ensure that overseas recipients handle that personal information in compliance with Australian Privacy Law. We will however take reasonable steps to ensure that any overseas recipient deals with your personal information in a way that is consistent with Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) including by agreeing to comply with the terms of this policy.

For research and promotional purpose, we may also share non-personal, de-identified and aggregated information. Except as set out in this policy, we do not sell or trade personal information with third parties.

Stanwycks is committed to the protection of your personal information, whether stored electronically or on file, and takes all reasonable precautions to protect it from unauthorized disclosure, access or modification. We incorporate a number of systems and procedures to ensure your personal information remains secure, including the following:

  • controlled electronically secure premises;
  • industry standard encryption to secure access to electronic files;
  • firewalls to protect electronic information;
  • virus protection software which is updated regularly
  • onsite servers;
  • the use of secure links and folders for the transfer of sensitive documents between ourselves, our clients and other external parties;
  • training of all personal regarding the protection of client personal information in keeping with the Privacy Act;
  • the use of passwords for access to our network
  • security shredding bins for the disposal of written information

Stanwycks will correspond with you by email if you indicate that this is appropriate and acceptable to you. In providing this direction you acknowledge also that the internet is not a secure environment and that the transmission of personal information over the internet is at your own risk and cannot be guaranteed by Stanwycks.

‍Accessing and Amending Your Personal Information

We encourage you to always communicate with us immediately, there is a need to access or update your personal information.

You may access your own personal information.

We will correct your information upon receiving details of the change in your circumstances or of any errors in the information we hold.

We can decline requests for access to personal information in certain circumstances under the APPs. If we do so, we will notify you in writing of our reasons.
